How it all started

Hello, my name is Reymond, and I support servant leadership. Since 2015, I have been educating myself on the leadership qualities I need to acquire in order to lead people successfully and meaningfully impact others.

Allow me to explain how I got started. I have worked in the corporate sector for 20 years, closely collaborating with executives management. It was at this time that I first gained expertise in leadership, as I worked with self-serving leaders. I had an amazing vision. It was frustrating to implement. I didn’t think that as a leader, I was doing a good job of assisting my teammates in growing. Too busy, I was. When I finally did aid them, I gave them too many instructions, telling them only what I believed was right.

I’m sure I needed a change in some way. I started asking insightful questions and listening instead of jumping to conclusions and giving advice. I saw that the responses to my inquiries reflected what God had already implanted in my heart. I was bringing out the things that I had included by probing!

I discovered that when I listened and asked the proper questions, individuals would solve problems on their own, advance, and acquire new skills.

For that, I am grateful!
